Accomplished Mooney pilot, CFII/MEI, and published aviation author, Paul Sanchez has been appointed MOA FSF Program Chairman and Administrator. Paul has researched and authored several supplemental Owners Operations & Performance Manuals for several popular GA aircraft including several M20's.

Paul also operates a Ft. Lauderdale, Florida training facility called On Eagles' Wings which specializes in avionics systems training as well as aircraft qualification courses for insurance underwriters. If you ever felt that there is way too much that your aircraft systems can do that you have never even learned of, then Paul Sanchez would be the one to call. Besides past Mooney training, Paul has done various airframe (Piper & Socata) and avionics factory schools such as: Garmin 430/530 workshops, along with Bendix-King KLN90B/ KLN89B and the UPSAT Apollo product line. He is also available for individual Mooney training at your location in your aircraft.

MOA's  FSF Is Now Taking Reservations For Its Winter & Spring Schedule for MOA's "Extended Weekend" MPW's'-Mooney Proficiency Workshops

paul1.jpg (23950 bytes)Mooney Pilot Workshop Courses (MPW's). typically will commence on a Thursday at 1:30 PM and will be completed by Sunday 12 PM MOA plans on more of a personal "one on one" flying session than customary, with an ideal "student to CFI" class ratio of not greater than 3 or 5 to one overall. Sanchez will cluster most of the mid winter courses in popular fly-in destination areas such as Florida and perhaps Corpus Christi Texas. Tentative Florida cities being considered are: Ft. Lauderdale, St. Augustine, Venice, and perhaps in Panama City or  Key West.

MOA's FSF is planning monthly classes spread over the various cities listed this winter/spring, with summer classes being planned both in the mid-west and northeast regions. MOA's FSF anticipates major underwriting approval from most insurance companies by class commencement dates.

Interested parties should immediately contact MOA FSF directly via Email or call MOA Headquarters (941) 486-1770 for more information. MOA's FSF will take reservations on a "first come, first serve" basis.

const.gif (1194 bytes)Much of the net revenue being generated by MOA will be funneled into our FSF Program. Our FSF is a "member run" program and we need member volunteers to get involved in MOA FSF Chapters and begin holding safety, awareness and informational workshops.  These workshops may be local or online and should cover a broad variety of subjects that would be of interest to all pilots in the name of safety and proficiency.  As membership builds, this will become an ever increasing membership benefit worth the cost of membership alone.

Rest assured, MOA will assist in any way feasible to promote our FSF Program.  We are now organizing several experienced Mooney Flight and Ground Instructors who are in the midst of formulating a curriculum for a regular scheduled and perhaps regionally based FSF M20 Flight Safety Awareness and Efficiency ProgramsStay tuned and get involved!
